Osasuna routs Alaves 3-0 at El Sadar to close out 2025

A second half brace by forward Ante Budimir and one by forward Raúl García lead Los Rojillos to victory

Osasuna (5-3-9, 18 points) capped off 2025 with a 3-0 victory over Alaves (5-3-9, 18 points) at El Sadar, controlling the match before sealing the win with a strong second-half performance.

After a balanced first half, forwards Ante Budimir scored twice and forward Raúl García added a late goal to secure the win for the home side in the final match of the year.

Osasuna created the early chances, with Budimir testing goalkeeper Antonio Sivera twice and midfielder Aimar forcing a full-stretch save with a shot from the edge of the area. The match settled as both defenses tightened, limiting clear opportunities. Late in the half, Osasuna regained control of possession, but headers from forward Víctor Muñoz and a volley by midfielder Lucas Torró both went wide.

Osasuna resumed control after halftime and quickly created more chances. Two strong saves from Sivera denied midfielder Ruben Garcia and Budimir. Alaves responded with a one-on-one chance for forward Tomas Martínez, but goalkeeper Sergio Herrera made the stop.

Budimir broke the deadlock with a first-time volley to make it 1-0, matching Javad Nekounam as the foreign player with the most appearances in club history. Minutes later, Budimir doubled the lead from the penalty spot after a handball by defender Victor Parada.

Osasuna continued to press and nearly added a fourth through a long-range effort from Torró that was saved by Sivera. Raúl sealed the win in stoppage time, cutting inside and finishing calmly from inside the box.

The club returns to action in 2026, hosting Athletic Club on Saturday, Jan. 3, at El Sadar in Matchday 18 of LaLiga EA Sports.
